Tired of cheezy photo contests designed (in reality) to harvest data

    Most of these contests exist for one reason: To harvest people's information and sell it on as "data sales." This is one of the largest businesses in the world, all combined, and is practiced by retail, the net, etc. Photocontests and other contests are a cheap (they'll offer a $1000 prize and then sell tens of thousands of dollars worth of people's information to other companies) way of collecting the names, addresses and phone numbers of thousands of people.
