To all folks who use .wmv on your websites: FIX YOUR MIME TYPES!!!!!!!

Discussion in 'Professional Video Production' started by R. Alan Monroe, Jan 3, 2004.

  1. Roughly four out of five websites I visit fail to set a mime type for
wmv files, and most webservers send a default mime type of
text/plain. This is a pain for all Mozilla users, as Mozilla actually
pays attention to the mime type (as nature intended), and shows you
the .wmv as a nice page full of garbage text.

A quick google search indicates that "video/x-ms-wmv" should work.
PLEASE set this on your webservers.
