    Any one used this lens?

    Can't find info....

Have heard of the Vivitar, Phoenix, Soligar, Cosina 100mm f/3.5 macro lenses

Was wondering if the Tokina has the same genes.

The Vivitar is quite cheap and plasticky in construction, but also very
sharp. Go for the superb Kiron 105 2.8 macro. Blows them all away! The Tamron
    is also very good.

The Vivitar, Phoenix and Cosina are all the same lens, made by Cosina
and re-badged. The same lens is also available under the Pentax brand
name (in fact, it's the only lens in the current Pentax line-up that
isn't made by Pentax). I wouldn't be surprised if the Soligor was the
    same lens.

By most accounts it's an excellent lens (optically) for the money.
