transferring still photos from memory stick via Firewire/i.link

    Nope, can't be done. Just get a USB reader or a PCMCIA reader.

    I have a Sony DCR-PC100 and I would like to transfer still photos from
    the memory stick using something faster than the included memory stick
    serial port reader. The camera has a firewire/i.link port but no USB.
    I know I can get a USB based memory stick reader, but I was wondering
    if I could transfer still images directly from the camera/memory stick
    over firewire. My digital editing package will capture an image, but
    it wants to treat everything as a movie, not a .jpeg. I've scoured the
    internet looking for a solution, but none seem to exist.

    TIA for any suggestions...
