For those who don't understand how to use version 2.0 of Ulead DVD
    MovieFactory yet, I've written a step-by-step tutorial:

    http://www.jonesgroup.net/recorddvdrone.htm

For those who don't understand how to use version 7 of Ulead
VideoStudio, I've also prepared two more step-by-step tutorials:

    http://www.jonesgroup.net/videostudiodvcaptureone.htm

    http://www.jonesgroup.net/videostudiodvdstepone.htm

I'm working on a new tutorial for Ulead DVD Workshop as it seems there
are some individuals who don't yet grasp the basics.

    Hi Jerry

With respect, I dont know if you have any boad towards MF2, or the Ulead
products, but I'd like to ask soem views from you. But thanks for the
    tutorials, very informative.

I have been thru the learning curve, with reading, reading, testing, and
    much help from these forums.
I have checked out many programs, and cut my teeth on DVIO for capture,
Virtualdub for base editing and audio extraction, TMPGEnc for encoding, and
    TMPG DVD Author.

I found early on in this, that many allinone programs either were too
dificult for me, i.r., Premiere, or too basix with minimal settngs. Hence I
now use the above, particularly TMPGEnc as i had assistance with the
    settings while I was learning.

My aim is for my DV camcorder movies to get the highest quality, and
smoothest motion. For TV captures for my wee daughter, I aim for good
quality and 2.5 hours+ on a DVD, but my main aim is quality as i said, and
its a hobby both to do my movies and to learn as much as I can

I am very intrigued with the Advane setting that you showed on Step One, but
I see there is no help in MF2 or MF3 Trial?
Is there any source of info, that gives help on these advanced settngs?
Ideally, what they do in laymans terms, and the pro's and cons? I am familar
with some of these as they exist in TMPGEnc, but any more info is a help

My feeling is that many of the common programs are fine., but lack the
ability to really get the quality high, although seeing those advanced
settings, MF3 looks like a real option, although I am surprised that these
settings exist, but seeminingly unpublicised and no help?

    What are your opinions?

    Cheers
    Tony
