Ulead MovieFactory 3.5 Burn from Image is very slow

Discussion in 'Amateur Video Production' started by Andrew V. Romero, Oct 17, 2004.

  1. I recently purchased the Pioneer A08 DVD burner and it came with the
Ulead MovieFactory Suite 3.5. I have successfully made a DVD and burned
it using this program, however I recently tried to have the program
create a disk image and then use movie factory to burn this disk image
to a DVD. The process takes way too long, the DVD is a total of about
3.5gb and moviefactory's progress bar shows that it completes the DVD in
about 8 minutes which is about right, but after the progress bar hits
100% at 8 minutes, the DVD continues to spin and the program appears to
still be working at something. After 30 minutes, it then says operation
successful. So why is this taking so long? Is there a freeware burner
program I can try to copy from a disk image to a DVD?

On a side note, anyone know if Ulead releases any updates on the
software they released for the pioneer dvd burners? I tried to download
the update for the moviefactory retail version, however it does not
recognize that I have moviefactory installed.

    Thanks,
    Andrew V. Romero
