underwater case

  1. I am wondering if anyone has a EWA Marine housing at all?
Im particular interested in the U-AXP or U-AXP100 and if a 10D with 17-40 or
    16-35 will fit ok.
From the specs on the site, one of the measurements suggests it will, and
    other doesn't.
There are no places in Brisbane that stock this product, so I cant just rock
up and test one out either.

    thanks
    Cameron

  2. They recently announced the underwater case to suit the 10D - there is
actually a place advertising in Australian Photography that they
supply underwater housings... I think it's in AP... if not I found it
at Google in underwater housing australia

    Cheers,
    Stuart

  3. Yes, but at $3 more than what I just paid for the camera before shipping, I
think that 10d housing is a bit of overkill.
I dont actually need it for underwater work as such, just for water
    proofing.
I will probably use it for snorkelling over Christmas, but the main use will
    be for wakeboarding.
I will be either in a tube behind the boat, or floating in the water.
So having a hard case for big depths isnt something I need to worry about.

    thanks
    Cam

  5. In that case the marine bag from IWA would probably suit...

  6. Cam,

I have an EWA bag, and have given it to my team surf riders with a Pentax
film SLR. They left yesterday for Indonesia (in fact they SMS'd me today,
and even tried their video cam in the EWA, and they're pretty stoked).
I won't know the results until they get back, which will be in 3 weeks time.

I'll let you know the results in 3 weeks if you like, just email me direct
    via my website surfworx.com.au
