Hello, everyone. I have an unusual challenge facing me. I am trying to open
a couple of files using my old version of PS but am not having success.
These uncompressed files weren't created by any known graphics program and
consist of simple, black & white pixels.

I have tried opening them and the supplied RAW filter is the only one that
can open them. When doing so, PS asks for the size and color depth. The
problem is that "color" is my only option here; 1-bit color depth is not an
    option.

    1) Does the latest version of PS allow 1-bit RAW files to be opened?

    2) Perhaps there is another filter that might work. I have tired most of the
    conventional ones.

    Thanks all.

  2. You might try opening them in something else, such as QuickView Plus,
ACDSee, or Irfanview (I think they all have free downloads or trials) and
see if they can handle the file. Then save as a different format.

    ....

I never received a follow-up from Nikko, and thought I'd repost just in case
    he didn't get this article.
