    Hi all,

My Kodak DX6490 has a quality mode which is recommended for 3:2 ratio
prints, such as 6x4. They recommend you use that mode as you won't need
to do any cropping. My understanding is that the images are as wide as
teh "best" quality mode (4MP) but not as tall.

Has anyone tried both the best and 3:2 mode and found either to be
    better for 6x4 prints?

Also, are there any resources on the net for getting the most out of
    your digital camera?

    Thanks for any tips.

    Greetings Ben,

First let me draw your attention to the Kodak site as one that offers quite
a bit about digital imaging. If you will go to the following URL

    http://www.kodak.com/go/dlc

you will see a pretty good review of what digital means and how it is
applied in many capture types (cameras, scanners, and more). With that
reviewed, I would then try visiting the many pages that are linked on the
"Taking Great Pictures" link. You will find a lot of great tips and
techniques on how to get great pictures.

The ratio you are referring to relates to one of the modes that our cameras,
and others, use. Please review the spec page of the camera data at the
    following URL

    http://www.kodak.com/go/dx6490

You will find information on all the modes. The 3:2 ratio will help you get
prints in a format that you are used to, i.e. 4x6 etc. The other ration is
good for TV such as 4:3. So, you can one or the other based on your
preference. If you have a Kodak Printer Dock, you should use the 3:2 ratio.

    Talk to you soon, Ben,

    Hi Ron,

Thanks for the info. Personally I think it's great to see newsgroup
posts from company employees when people ask questions about that
    company's products.
