Using video clips from Digital Still Camera

I have a few 60 second video clips I recorded with my Minolta dimage 7hi
digital still camera. They are in Apple Quick Time format. I would like to
include them in a DVD with some DV footage. I realise there may be a
problem with different resolutions so I tried to edit them with Ulead Video
Studio 7, combining all of the clips together with 2 seconds of black
between each one, and then saving them as MPEG2 or AVI. I realise that the
quality will not be great but I want to see how it looks.

Is there a way to have the clips show in a smaller window like you would see
    on the computer?

When I play and edit the clips in Video Studio 7 I hear audio while "Clip"
is selected but when I select "Project" I do not hear audio. I saved the
video file and there is no audio in the final saved file. I'm not sure
what to try next. Is there any other software I can use to edit the clips
so that I still have audio?

Any advice will be much appreciated.
