Once in a while we come across software that is not only very useful,
but is inexpensive. The AVS Video Converter is one such example. Not
only is the AVS Video Converter very good, it is simple to use.

Essentially, it provides video conversion between any/all of AVI (DivX,
XviD, etc.), DV AVI, MP4 (inc. Sony PSP and Apple iPod), WMV, 3GP, 3G2,
QuickTime (MOV, QT), SWF, DVD, VOB, VRO,MPG, MPEG 1,2,4, DAT, VCD, SVCD,
ASF, MJPEG, H.263, H.264, Real Video (RM, RMVB).

It comes as part of a set of tools available from: and is priced at

There's demos of the various tools at:

One particular application I should mention is that of cleaning up the
audio in movies. I've been using the Magix Audio Cleaning Lab for a
while now, but I've often had problems with extracting the audio from
movies - but the AVS Toolkit makes this a breeze (covered in the one of
    the demos above).

Dunno. Never come across that. If you'd care to upload a file to one of
the less well used alt.binary newsgroups [1] and email me with the
header/newsgroup [2] I'll try it and come back to you. Let me know what
    you want it converted to.

[1] Raw if you like, or if it's a biggish file then as a RAR/PAR

[2] Please remove the 'nospam' from my email address.

IIRC, according to the web site it does, I'm sure an email to the
sales / support desk will confirm though.
