There are 33 photos of the view from the top of Christ Church steeple
at Holy Corner in Edinburgh here:

    <http://www.henniker.org.uk/html/bruntV1.htm>

Most are 1152 x 864 pixels. Photographed with an Olympus E-10 SLR
digital camera, some with a wide-angle or telephoto adapter.

The building is being renovated and still has scaffolding, the topmost
parts of which have already been dismantled. Grateful thanks to
caretaker David Peacock for inviting me up for this once-in-a-lifetime
    opportunity.

There is lots of information on the web pages describing the views and
naming the streets. Some distances are given in kilometres. Previously
when announcing updates, I've copied and pasted the info from the
pages, but there's a lot of text so I shan't bother.

All photos are free for personal, non-commercial use only. You may
pass them around, use them for wallpaper etc - but none must appear in
any compilations on any media that changes hands as part of a
money-making transaction. No commercially printed leaflets etc.

    regards, Dave Henniker.

  5. Great pics as always!

I was going to pass on the url of your site to some ex-pat Edinburgh
friends but I'm reluctant to do so because practically all the links on
your homepage return '404' errors at the moment. They've been like that
for at least a few weeks.

I've tested all the links on the default home page and they all work
for me. I was careful to delete all cached files because I've been
caught out that way before. If there's any dead links I'd appreciate
the urls. Edit the email address to put in real dots if you're
    emailing me.

    regards Dave.

Excellent as usual Dave, glad you had the oppotunity to take them. If others
are like me, then I'm sure you have many fans who lurk in the background and
enjoy your photography. Keep up the good work!

  8. They work fine for me, too.

Edinburgh is such a tidy city when seen from above as in your shots. I was
once told by an elderly lady that it's a town "full of dusty old shops with
    pianos in the windows."

It still makes me laugh to think of her telling me that.
