    Hi,

I own a Canon Elan II with a 28-80mm lens. I was thinking of using a
Tiffen 58CP circular polarizer filter (58 mm as well) with no other
filter mounted. Anyone using THIS combination has experienced
vignetting at wide angle and if yes, how bad is it?

Thank you all for your help.

I have never tried this combination.

    I have the Canon 28-70mm and a Tokina 19-35mm lenses. I use a thin,
or slim, cp filter and ge no noticable vignetting on the 28-70. Off
hand I don't remember any with the 19-35 at 19mm......

The thin filter has no threads on the front so you can not stack
another filter in front of it.

My suggestion is to get the "thin" version.

I've been wondering about thin filters. Are there different lens caps
that will attach without the front threads?
