Anyone else found any running or installation problems with this thing, or am I just unlucky? So far, after having it 3 weeks, I'm in the process of re-installing it for the th (yes sixth) time on my machine. Why?. Well it's not an impressive history. Mainly, after a painful instal, and effective functioning for a while. it had suddenly and for no apparent reason on a new re-boot a) offer no 'scan' option after previewing, resulting as often as not in a total system freeze (WIN 98SE), b) offered a totally garbled preview picture,NOT corrected by any re-boots (yet another re-intal required from scratch) c) failed to even re-instal without freezing my whole system needing a detiled de-frag. Even when installed, the associated peprport software must be the most user-unfriendly and non-intuitive stuff I've ever encountered .. Why for example are you obliged to save any files into pre-ordained directories ('My Paperport etc', and not a directory of your own choice on the drive? Why in heavens name do you have graphics-manipulating software that doesn't even give you the choice of a simple vertical or horizontal flip (very basic essentials available on loads of freeware programs. I've got plenty demanding software on my machine, had a previously installed Canon scanner without hitch, and knowe that my own installation was as 'per instructions'. What is it with this machine... I'd rather have a virus. Iptide
