Vivitar lens, for which machine is this ?

    I have a Vivitar 300mm telephoto lens, got it at a garage sale ......


    Number on it is : 37002398, can anyone figure out for which body/brand type
    is this ? I was hoping it would fir my Canon FA, bit it is not meant to be
    :(

  3. There are websites you can find using google that will help you identify the
    kind of mount you have....Here is one:

    Put up a pic of the mount. Actually it probably has some lettering
    enrgraved in it, like "N" (Nikon), "M" (Minolta), "Y/C" (Yashica
    Contax) etc.

    Impossible to tell the mount without seeing it or looking for an engraved
    letter (N, M, OM,etc). However, apparently the first two numbers "37" code
    for Vivitar lenses made by Tokina (Google "who made that Vivitar Lens")
