Watching more than one station with 1 lnb ?

    I am able to watch more than one station by using two free
    to air receivers (one is actually a pc card) but it seems that
    not all channels like to co-exist, i.e. when I watch certain
    channels I can watch certain other channels on the second
    receiver, but not all, and furthermore, with some channels
    I cannot watch any channels on the second receiver.
    How does this actually happen, what are the
    determining factors?

    My setup is:
    My master receiver is an ID Digital CL-20E and the secondary
    receiver (connected from the first reciver output/loopthrough)
    is a pc card called wintv nova pci. The lnb is a universal one and
    the dish is receiving hotbird1-5.
