Wave File form CD-ROM player

    I tried to record from a CD using Ulead Media Pro 7 Audio Editor. I got no
    response from the "set sound levels" alert box. I tried to record from the
    CD drive from sound recorder and still no dice. So I am getting no response
    from XP or the sound card. I have a GE Force sound card and it performs in
    all other ways. I record out to my video deck. I checked the SoundMAX
    Digital Audio volume control in recording CD-Player option. It has to be
    something really simple - right?

    Why don't you just skip the whole sound card thing and do digital audio
    extraction? (Try EAC)

    Thanks for the suggestion. I figured out how to copy the file directly from
    WM9.
