Way to go Minolta!

  1. dPreview has some more pics up of the 7D. Looks like Phil got some more
    time to play with the camera and make some more interesting pictures.

    Subjectively, the ISO 1600 pictures look really good considering KM is
    using the same 6.1 megapixel CCD as Nikon, Pentax and others. Even if
    the anti-shake only works well on the short end, it looks like they'll
    have a decent shot at forcing Canon, Nikon and others to spend cash
    reverse engineering their system, or better yet, licensing the
    technology from Konica/Minolta.

  3. Canon did a nice job with IS on the Powershot S1 IS. They could probably do
    it on their own.

    That's Canon's usual optical IS. The Minolta system works very differently,
    by counter-shaking the CCD.
