    Hello all.

I will be spending the better part of the year in Europe very soon.
Photography is not the reason for my stay, but I do consider myself a
'serious amateur.' I plan on taking lots of pictures (of course), with my
Nikon D70 dSLR. Friends/Family are all requesting I send back plenty of
images, and I feel that a web site would be more effective than to send them
    via-email.

I guess what I am looking for I a service to host my images for me so anyone
can come and view them. I would estimate I would like to upload about 5-6
images a week on average for public viewing. since it is such a nice camera,
I would like to have a decent allowable file size (meaning JPGS at about
    1280x1040) for good quality ( I don't need to post my uber-quality 3008x2000
    TIFF files ;) ).

I would prefer free (of course), but a small service fee would not scare me
off. I will be traveling with my laptop, so special software requirements
would not be a problem, but it would be cool to have a web-based
upload/management service so I can just go to any internet cafe with a burnt
    CD and upload that way.

    Thanks in advance!

While not free, it seems like our hosting service would meet your need.

Our online management tool can be used to upload HTML, images, etc.
Website content is managed here as well and publishing is trivial so your
website (and images) can be made available right away.

We can also help in creating/importing your gallery so you will have less
to do in maintaining the site.

Contact our office for more information.
