    Hi all

I have recently bought an old Pentax KM which replaces one I had years
ago. I've come full circle back to this basic old manual camera and I
wouldn't have it any other way :dD . Anyway, I would like to buy a
300mm lens for the old girl for wildlife photography. Have been looking
on ebay for a Pentax but without success so far and was wondering what
other brands you more experienced guys/gals would recommend? And where
to purchase? Thanks for any info on this.

Pentax prices are dropping a little. Look on eBay and be patient.

Ok thanks. How much should I expect to pay for such a beast on ebay?
    Cheers

As you know, there are two beasts, the f2.8 and the f4.0 or is it f4.5 ? If
you want bird shooting then you need to look at using a teleconverter from
time to time and possibly aim for the f2.8 model.

I hear that Tamron makes a decent version too.

I do not have an estimate on price.
