What's the best DVD authoring software?

  1. Hi,

In your experience, what do you consider the most powerful PC software for
authoring DVDs? How does Adobe Encore weigh up?

The best companies provide FREE trial download versions.

Ulead, for example, provides a free trial version of DVD Workshop 2.0
on the Web page at the following link:

I'm sure Adobe does the same.

So I would suggest that you download the free trials and then evaluate
them to determine which best meeds your individual needs.

Movie companies use Sonic Scenarist primarily. It'll do everything on
the planet - the other programs below this leave out features of the DVD

Below that, you'll have the usual crop of mid-level DVD programs from
Sonic whatever to Adobe whatever, to Ulead whatever. Not necessarily
    all encompanssing and powerful.

Here, Ulead DVD Workshop 2 is a standout for ease-of-use, features, and
power, IMO. I'd get this before Adobe anything or whatnot if you're not
game to spend $$$ on Scenarist.

Below that, the crop of entry level programs like Sonic MyDVD, Ahead
Nero, Roxio EZCD, etc. for beginners and home users. Here, whatever
    works for you works.
