Where does DC10 XP hardware installer put the files?

I d/l'd the WinXP hardware installer for the Pinnacle DC-10+ card, but it
doesn't seem to work like the hardware installer for 98SE. I unzipped the
file to a folder on my second h/d, but don't see any "start" or exe file.
The hardware installer I used for 98SE brought up an installer window and
    directed you through the process.

So, I turned off the computer and when the "detected new hardware" wizard
came up, I had it look in the folder I had created. It went through an
install process and told me it was done, but I have no idea where it
installed the files, they're not in the Pinnacle Studio folder under program
    files.

    Any insights?

  2. It did just what it said - installed the hardware. In short, it put the
driver in the system and the card is ready to use. When you capture or
output to tape it should be available in Studio.

The problem is, if I can't find them I don't have any way of removing them.
The DC10 isn't showing up in control panel under programs.

I am having a similar problem with my DC 10 card. It shows up and is
recognised but I can't get it to show any input from a camera. I have tried
different cameras and used Pinnacle Studio 9 to capture the video but all I
    get is a blank screen.

Is there any way to test if the card is actually working?

  5. Dave,

There is a Composite and an S-video input option (they are behind the left
control panel in the capture window). Did you select the appropriate one?

  6. When the driver is put into the system it does not show up in Control
Panel/Add & Remove Programs list. It is found in Control
Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager. Pinnacle made a mistake by calling it
a "hardware installer" when they should have simply listed it as the "XP
driver update". Your capture card does not automatically detect which input
you are using. Go to the capture module and select the settings for the
    input you are using.
