Which dSLR should I get

    I am the owner of a Nikon D70s and a D80 body, my wife has a D50.
I have the Nikon 18-70 that came with the D70s, and we also have
the 18-55 and 55-200 that came with the D50, but for most
purposes we each have and use a Tamron 18-200, hers is
mechanical, mine has the internal focussing motor so is
    compatible with the D7000.

Our local camera shop (yes they do still exist) have two s/h
D7000's in stock, one body only at £430 and one with 18-105 Nikon
at £500. The body only is in better condition but both in reality
    look like new.

The problem is that I just cannot make up my mind whether to buy
or not. Is the D7000 so much better and will I benefit <that>
much from it having 16Mp against the 10Mp on the D80, or should I
just stay where I am with the D80? I did consider getting my wife
to use the D80, to use my D70s as a second body, and trade in the
D50, until that is I say that a D70s goes for about a ton so on
trade in will be worth no more than half that which makes the
value of the D50 about that of a few pints of best.

Anyone with experience in this area who could give me some ideas
and/or advice will be most welcome.
