Which Nikon lenses benefit from a 1.5x multiplier?

One thing that is not available on the web (as far as I can tell) are
reviews of some of the older lenses with the cropping of the frame
apparent with a smaller than 24x36mm sensor.

I did find information that would indicate that the 18-35mm ED lens is
excellent value and great optics on a D1 series camera.

    Are there any other gems?

Yes, it's sort of a digital question: though I use my lenses on both
my F100 and my newly acquired D1x.

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

The 60mm micro is already a very versatile lens, and on a D1x it becomes
    a plm. 90mm portrait with close-up capability...a must-have-lens when
you have a digital body, I would say.

  3. The 16mm f2.8 fisheye (though with the D1X you can use the better 16mm f3.5 MF...)
    Any long lens...
    Any macro lens...
    The 28mm PC lens...
The 8mm fisheye (the Sigma 8mm f4 is good...)
