    Hi Group,

I already have a 72mm wide angle polarizer filter. Would that work on
72mm telephoto lens? I guess what I'm really saying is: are there any
differences between a normal filter and a "wide angle" one, other than
the latter being made thinner by removing front threading?

    Thanks,

    Moe

  2. Sure. If the filter ring size is the same you can use the WA filter on
a longer lens, but not always the other way around.

No problem using a filter on a longer lens as the angle of view
goes down. Using any filter on wider lenses poses more problems,
    hence the various "thin" filters.
