Oh man......after using my old Minolta X300s, this D70 is like getting out
of a mini cooper and into a stretch limo :) I picked up an 80-400mm VR
Nikkor for a really good price when I got the D70......I'm in love! At
night, hand held, inside the house at full zoom with only regular
flourescent lighting and the built in flash......no shake/blur at all :) I
can't get the grin off my head.....

Well that depends. Before the new models came out,
in reference to the 70's models we would make jokes
like "even if hotted up, deep down you'd still know
    it's a mini". ;-)

Even if it's 15 years old with a 1000cc engine and held together by
nothing but rust you still leave the driving seat with a huge grin from
    ear to ear ;-)

That grin lets you know it's a mini.

Don't you know a mini cooper corners better, out performs and is easier
to park than a stretch limo ?

    Limo's are for posing.

    Shame on you !

    I just got the 24-120 VR for a mountain hike/calendar shoot. I couldn't
agree with you more about the D70.

If you have a moment to share your experience, please visit my D70 Lens
    Experience site:

I'll leave it on line as long as it seems relevant.

When I've had a chance to play with it properly, I'll certainly do that :)
