    <snippage has occurred>

Way I figure it, anyone who is wrapped up in top-bottom-interleave
issues needs his own newsgroup. We could get a Net-Nanny to refer those
who mistakenly top-bottom-interleave in a digital photo newsgroup to
    rec.pretentious.onehandtypists.top-bottom-interleave.etiquette. Everyone
would soon know to go there if they thought there was a chance they
might hear something useful no one had said a thousand times, or thought
their style or mode of utterance would stimulate a come-to-realize
experience on the part of every inferior being who had not previously
    seen the light.

I do not intend to diminish the importance of etiquette, conventions,
protocols, dialog, nor dialoguists. Just consider: any who have not made
their decisions regarding those important go-along-to-get-along aspects
of Usenet will more likely learn by observation and gentle instruction
    than by denigration and discounting.

I don't invest a lot in threads that wander into this territory. I don't
like to see people whose contributions are consistently positive dragged
into the maelstrom of a dead-horse thread when they could be doing
something worthwhile. I think everyone who spends time at Usenet has at
some level a realistic assessment of what happens and what they are
doing. If they are honest but insensitive, they may grow; if they are
cynical and dishonest, or self-deceived, they will shrivel up and blow
    away without anyone's assistance.

I'm serious about an etiquette-discussion group. Does anyone know of
    shuch a one?

Correction: I forgot to make the search for GNUS case-insensitive.
That brings the count up to: 43
