I figure that someone must have bought the D70 kit and already has superior
    lenses.

I would love one of these for my d100. If you are interested in selling this
or similar lens please email or indicate here.

Prefer Sydney but will also be in Melbourne in the next few weeks.

  2. This is an SLR related question..

In further crossposts, please change rec.photo.digital to:

    rec.photo.digital.slr-systems

If your news provider hasn't added it, you'll have to request they do..

    Thanks

No need to thank me, I have no intention of taking any notice, there is
plenty of discussion of Digital SLR in this group and nothing excluding them
in the title. This is exactly the place I would go looking for someone who
bought a D70 package and wanted to sell the lens I want.

    Thanks.

They aren't that expensive to buy. Usually a few on eBay, or try
www.pricejapan.com for new (request price - they chase one up and add 5%,
can pay via Westpac transfer etc)

Worth doing anyway but http://www.europeancameras.com/ will accomodate you
in england anyway by mail I think.

If you are worried about duty, get it delivered here, repacked and a thank
    you note for the loan.

In general the camera prices there seem pretty good, but the lenses and
flash cards are almost double in some cases, compared to what you can buy
    from OS!

True, I seldom buy two things from the same place, too much variation, as
you say there are different things that seem to be best from different
    countries.
