Maybe it is off topic but it is true. People would rather hear bad
than good. And as a Vietnam vet myself I'm proud of these heros and am
glad at least one person has recognized what he did for this country
but then you are probably one of the cowards who don't want to hear
    about great American war heros.

I don't think you can compare Vietnam with Iraq because the Vietnam soldiers
were mainly conscripted (drafted) and the soldiers today are volunteers.

BS. We were talking bout the media and how they slant the news.
They did the same thing in Vietnam. I remember watching the news with my Dad
and every evening it was about how we were losing, body counts, and they
painted the Tet offensive as a major defeat.
The Vietnamese leaders have stated in interviews after the war that part of
their strategy was using the US. media and antiwar leftists against us.
    Remember that bitch Hanoi Jane.
The media controlled by leftists are doing the same number today. Wake-up!

  14. Not all of us hate to see these posts. True they do belong in a political
news group but it also allows those people that don't look at the political
newsgroups to see what is actually happening in their world and or country.
Maybe you learned something today and that's what your complaining about. I
say post more of this information on the net for people to see and maybe
there will be more people backing them in the future. If not at least
they'll be more informed about the reality they don't get to see.

  16. Two different wars, yes - but the soldiers of both deserve our thanks and
